The 2017 Kentucky Bourbon Festival Is Over, Did You Get Your Memorabilia?

The 2017 Kentucky Bourbon Festival is over, and according to festival officials an estimated 60,000 people attended the event. The festival began in 1992 as a small “black-tie” gathering at “My Old Kentucky Home State Park,” as a way to celebrate the bourbon industry. The industry is one of the largest in Kentucky as 95% of the world’s bourbon is made in the state.

However, as the industry grew larger and larger the event transformed into a week-long celebration. Even state officials make an appearance.=In fact, this year Gov. Matt Bevin kicked off the festival by praising the $8.5 billion industry for its impact on the state’s economy.

The festival, which was held in Bardstown, KY, featured music, festival games, speakers (key members of the bourbon industry), and lots of bourbon. There was also a large amount of Kentucky bourbon accessories and apparel to purchase as memorabilia, to commemorate the experience for attendees.

As with every Kentucky Bourbon Festival, no two events are exactly the same. Old events are often either altered or eliminated, and new ones appear frequently. The “1792 Flights of Bourbon” and “Bottled in Bond-Fire” events made a reappearance this year, as both were crowd favorites last year. There was also more VIP options than any year before, especially for premium bourbon tastings and purchases.

For those who missed the event, but still want to purchase Kentucky bourbon apparel for themselves or their loved ones, Makers Mark merchandise will be available online. This merchandise comes in the form of Makers Mark shirts and similar apparel. If nothing else, they make great Kentucky memorabilia items for bourbon lovers who want to celebrate the bourbon state.

The average American spent more than $900 on holiday gifts last year, which means that there is plenty of buying power among those 60,000 festival attendees. So if you want to get your 2017 Kentucky Bourbon Festival memorabilia you should move fast before they’re all gone.

If you or your loved ones are bourbon fans, Makers Mark merchandise also features bar accessories like glassware, coasters, and single-whiskey disks. These items can make your bar area stand out and show your appreciation and love for the state of Kentucky along with the spirit it makes.
